India’s Active Caseload of Covid-19 has declined to 13,013
More than 1.85 crore (1,85,44,700) adolescents in the age group 12-14 years have been administered with the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Sunday.
Covid-19 vaccination for this age group was started on March 16.
According to provisional data available till 7 am on Sunday, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 184.66 crore (1,84,66,86,260), said the ministry.
Meanwhile, following a continuous downward trend, India’s Active Caseload of Covid-19 has declined to 13,013 Active Cases and now constitute 0.03% of the country's total Positive Cases.
Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.76%. As many as 1,447 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours and the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) is now at 4,24,93,773, the health ministry said.
During the last 24 hours, 1,096 new cases were reported while 4,65,904 Covid-19 tests were conducted. India has so far conducted over 79.07 crore (79,07,64,883) cumulative tests.
There has been a sustained fall in the weekly and daily Positivity Rates too. Weekly Positivity Rate in the country currently stands at 0.23% and the Daily Positivity rate is also reported to be 0.24%, the health ministry noted.
