More than 16.18 crore balance and unutilized vaccine doses are still available with them, the health ministry said
More than 184.47 crore (1,84,47,26,555) Covid-19 vaccine doses have been provided to States and Union Territories (UTs) so far through the Government of India (free of cost channel) and through direct state procurement category, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Sunday.
Of these, more than 16.18 crore (16,18,25,796) balance and unutilized COVID Vaccine doses are still available with the States/UTs to be administered, the ministry added.
Meanwhile, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 183.20 crore doses (1,83,20,10,030) as per provisional reports till 7 am on Sunday. This has been achieved through 2,17,73,803 sessions, the health ministry said.
At the same time, following a continuous downward trend, India’s Active Covid-19 Caseload has declined to 16,187 today, constituting 0.04% of the country's total Positive Cases.
India’s recovery rate stands at 98.75%, wirh 1,826 patients having recovered in the last 24 hours. The cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) is now at 4,24,82,262.
According to official data, 1,421 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours with 6,20,251 COVID-19 tests being conducted. India has so far conducted over 78.69 crore (78,69,22,965) cumulative tests.
There has been a sustained fall in the weekly and daily Positivity Rates too. Weekly Positivity Rate in the country currently stands at 0.27% and the Daily Positivity rate is also reported to be 0.23%, the health ministry said.
