The DRDO tableau will feature an array of groundbreaking systems
In a strong display of technological grandeur and women empowerment, the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) is set to showcase its achievements at the 75th Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path on January 26, 2024.
 
Embodying the essence of ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ (self-reliant India), this year's exhibition will represent the instrumental role of women scientists in shaping the future of Defence Research. The DRDO tableau, themed ‘Women power in protecting the nation,’ will showcase India's defence shield across all five dimensions: Land, Air, Sea, Cyber, and Space.
 
The tableau's centre stage will be graced by Sunita Devi Jena, an outstanding scientist, leading as the Contingent Commander.

Innovative Systems: The tableau will feature an array of groundbreaking systems, including the Man Portable Anti-Tank Guided Missile (MPATGM), Anti-Satellite (ASAT) Missile, and the Agni-5 Surface-to-Surface Ballistic Missile.
 
Advanced Defence Solutions: Showcasing cutting-edge technologies like the Very Short-Range Air Defence System (VSHORADS), Naval Anti-Ship Missile–Short Range (NASM-SR), and the Anti-Tank Guided Missile ‘HELINA’.
 
Revolutionizing India's Defence Arsenal
Strategic Might: The Agni-5 and ASAT Missiles represent India's strategic advancements and capability to conduct precision strikes.
 
Defence Across Domains: From the MPATGM's night operational capability to LCA Tejas, India's light-weight tactical fighter aircraft, the display covers a spectrum of defence mechanisms.
 
Air Defence Systems: The QRSAM and Astra missiles represent India's advancements in air-to-air and surface-to-air defence systems.
 
Naval Strength: Advanced Electronic Warfare System 'Shakti' and the Uttam AESAR radar highlight DRDO's contributions to the Indian Navy's technological capabilities.
 
This showcase is more than a display of might; it's a narrative of India's journey towards self-reliance in defence technologies. Each system, from the Uttam AESAR to the Advanced Electronic Warfare System 'Shakti', reflects the ingenuity and dedication of Indian scientists and engineers.
 
Apart from these, the parade will also feature other significant DRDO-developed systems like the Pinaka, Nag Missile System, and the mobile bridging system ‘Sarvatra’. The flypast by the Indian Air Force, including LCA Tejas and AEW&C, will be a crowning moment, showcasing DRDO's impact on India's aerial defence capabilities.
 
The Republic Day Parade 2024 promises to be a monumental event, not just in the demonstration of India's defence advancements but also in highlighting the vital role of women in this sector.
