Covid-19 update: India’s nationwide vaccination coverage crosses 1152 million mark
The country reported 11,106 new cases in the last 24 hours
With the administration of 72,94,864 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 1152 million.
As per provisional reports till 7 am on Friday, 1,15,23,49,358 vaccine doses have been administered under the nationwide Covid-19 vaccination campaign.
This has been achieved through 1,18,39,293 sessions, said the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
The recovery of 12,789 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) to 3,38,97,921.
Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.28%.
States and Union Territories (UTs) continued the trend of less than 50,000 Daily New Cases that is being reported for 145 consecutive days now.
The country reported 11,106 new cases in the last 24 hours.
India’s active caseload currently stands at 1,26,620.
Active cases constitute 0.37% of the country's total Positive Cases, which is the lowest since March 2020.
The last 24 hours saw a total of 11,38,699 tests being conducted.
India has so far conducted over 62.93 crore (62,93,87,540) cumulative tests.
The Weekly Positivity Rate at 0.92% remains less than 2% for the last 56 days now.
The Daily Positivity Rate reported to be 0.98%. The daily Positivity rate has remained below2% for last 46 days and below 3% for 81 consecutive days now.
