"They reviewed ongoing cooperation initiatives in the maritime domain and avenues of reinforcing international and regional mechanisms for comprehensive maritime security," the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said on Wednesday (May 31, 2023).
Both parties vowed to further strengthen their joint efforts and existing frameworks in areas like marine scientific research, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR), maritime connectivity, maritime security, cooperation between the Navy and Coast Guard, maritime law enforcement, and capacity building.
