Close to 520 million people have received at least the first dose of the vaccine

With the administration of 58,85,687 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has surpassed the cumulative figure of 67.72 crore or 677 million.

The figure stands at 67,72,11,205 as per provisional reports till 7 am on Saturday, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said.

This has been achieved through 70,88,424 sessions.

If one goes by health ministry data till 7 pm
on Friday, 51,92,87,304 people had received at least the first dose of the vaccine.

The cumulative number of second doses administered stood at 15,72,12,997.

Recovery Rate stands at over 97 per cent

The recovery of 36,385 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) to 3,21,00,001.

Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 97.43%.

The trend of less than 50,000 Daily New Cases is being reported for 69 consecutive days now. Theblast 24 hours saw 42,618 new cases being reported.

The Active Caseload currently stands at 4,05,681 and the Active Cases now constitute 1.23% of the country's total Positive Cases.

The last 24 hours saw a total of 17,04,970 tests being conducted, taking the total number of tests so far to over 52.82 crore (52,82,40,038) cumulative tests.

The Weekly Positivity Rate at 2.63% remains less than 3% for the last 71 days now. The Daily Positivity rate stands at 2.50% and has remained below 5% for 89 consecutive days now.
