In a bid to protect forests, a workshop for the preservation of forests was organised in Srinagar, Kashmir on December 22.

The workshop discussed sustainable forest management while addressing forest degradation and deforestation issues in the region.

During the meeting, an annual plan for the operation was taken up by the state forest department.
